KCC GOLFERS CLAIM PARK SPRING CLASSIC
PARKSVILLE, Mo. - The Kirkwood men's golf team captured the top prize at the Park University Spring Classic Tuesday in the Kansas City suburbs.
The Eagles carded a 36-hole score of 586 for a six-shot victory over William Woods University in the nine-team event at the National Golf Club.
Brandon McCarty of Kirkwood tied for second in the individual standings with a 5-over-par 145. Logan Smith of William Woods took medalist honors at 2-over 142 for a three-shot victory.
Kolby Shackelford and Luke Evans of Kirkwood tied for fourth place at 6-over 146, giving the Eagles three golfers in the top-5.
