Eagles remain unbeaten with a road win at Marshallown
Top-ranked Kirkwood used a 19-2 run to start the game, en route to a 74-39 victory over host Marshalltown Wednesday night.
Marshalltown would close the gap in the second quarter, however, the Eagles would still lead 36-26 at halftime.
The Eagles (12-0/12-0 ICCAC) would take control of the game with a 17-3 run over the first 5:03 of the third quarter to take a 53-29 lead.
Freshman Tasia Jordan led the Eagles with 13 points on 6-7 from the floor & 1-1 from the free-throw line. Jordan also added 4 steals & 4 rebounds.
Sophomores Kemara Watson & Kortney Drake also finished in double figures with 13 & 12 points respectively.
Kirkwood returns to action on Saturday, as they host Iowa Lakes at 1:00 pm in Johnson Hall.
