NO.6 EAGLES FALL TO NO.1 IOWA CENTRAL

FORT DODGE - The Kirkwood women's volleyball team put up a good fight against top-ranked Iowa Central in the final two sets Wednesday, but was swept by the Tritons, 25-17, 25-23, 25-23.
 
Iowa Central raised its records to 29-0 overall and 6-0 in the ICCAC conference. Kirkwood fell to 19-8 overall and 5-1 in the league.
 
Katie Kopriva led Kirkwood with 11 kills. Kamara Dickerson had 10 kills, Jada Golden-Smith eight, and Emily Strauss six.
 
Rachael Nelson dished out 32 assists for the Eagles. Takoa Kopriva made 18 digs and Nelson finished with 11. Golden-Smith added four blocks defensively.
