CEDAR RAPIDS -- The seventh-ranked Kirkwood men's golf team had a good showing in their second outing of the fall season. The Eagles posted a 16-over-par 304 to take home first place in the Mount Mercy Fall Shootout at the par-72 Amana Golf Course on Tuesday. The Eagles claimed the victory by finishing three strokes better than second-place Mount Mercy (307, +19).
The Eagles had three golfers place in the top ten which was highlighted by sophomore JD Goodfellow taking home individual medalist honors by carding an even-par 72. Max Thrune shot a two-over-par 74, tying for second place. Niall Powell tied for 10th place after finishing with a six-over-par 78.
