Volleyball (Offensive) – Division II
Abbi Tunis – Kirkwood – Middle Hitter – Sophomore During last week's game against Metropolitan Community College, Abbi Tunis picked up nine kills on 19 total attacks giving her a 0.421 attacking percentage. This offensive effort, along with some more help from teammate Alexa Aldrich-Ingram (16 kills), helped Kirkwood make quick work of the opponent in three sets. This is Abbi Tunis' first athlete of the week nomination and a much-deserved one as the Eagles send it to West Virginia for the DII National Tournament next weekend.
Volleyball (Defensive) – Division II
Maddie Lavenz – Kirkwood – Libero – Sophomore Kirkwood won their last game on Sunday, Nov. 4 against Metropolitan Community College in a quick three sets. Maddie Lavenz managed to get herself 20 digs in just those three sets. On the year she has a total of 630 digs, which is good enough to land her a spot at 27th in the country and leads the team.
