NO.6 KCC BASEBALL SWEPT BY NO.4 HEARTLAND

NORMAL, Ill. - The sixth-ranked Kirkwood baseball team was swept by fourth-ranked Heartland, 12-11 and 6-3, in a non-conference doubleheader Wednesday.
 
Noah Furcht, Cael Frost, and Spencer Campidilli hit home runs for the Eagles in the first game. Campidilli went 2-for-4 and drove in four runs. Furcht and Frost had two RBIs.
 
Joe Simpson went 3-for-4 for Kirkwood in the second game. Frost had two hits.
 
Kirkwood saw its record fall to 7-3.
