Bio

Anthony Caenepeel enters his fifth year as the pitching coach for the Kirkwood Eagles. In Caenepeel’s first two seasons in Cedar Rapids, six Eagles have moved on to Division 1 schools to continue their playing careers. Casey Day (Iowa), Will Nigut (St. Thomas), Luke Llewellyn (Iowa), Rian Yates (Eastern Kentucky), Caleb Fuller (Oakland), and Frankie Cresta (Tennessee Tech) will all continue their playing careers this fall.

Before being hired by Coach Rima, Caenepeel was the graduate assistant coach at Northwest Missouri State University. He joined the Bearcat staff after spending three years at Northwest Missouri State as a pitcher. As a senior Caenepeel was named the 2017 MIAA Conference Pitcher of the Year and in 2018 the Bearcats won the MIAA Regular Season Conference Championship. In 2017 he earned a bachelor’s degree in History and in 2019 earned a master’s degree in Applied Health and Sport Science.

Anthony Caenepeel is a native of Willard, Missouri. He is the son of Dana Boland and Doug Caenepeel.
