Bio

Darin Pint is in his 28th season as head coach of the Kirkwood golf team. He currently has an overall record of 1,456-362 at Kirkwood, with 105 national qualifiers.

Pint has coached numerous NJCAA All-Americans and Ping All-Region performers. In 2006, he helped T.J. Redding win an individual national championship and guided Carson Whittington to a national runner-up finish in 2016.

Pint has also been very active in the NJCAA Division II Golf Coaches Association, serving as Vice-President from 2007-2009 and then becoming President from 2009-2011. He is an active Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) member.  In 2011, he was recognized by the GCAA as the recipient of the Eaton Pride East Region Coach of the Year, as voted on by the coaches.

A 1991 graduate of Wapsie Valley High School, Pint was a four-sport letter winner earning All-State honors in each sport. As a golfer, he finished 3rd in the Class 2A State Tournament in both his junior and senior years, while helping his team to 3rd place team finishes in those years.   

Pint graduated from Coe College in 1995. While there, he played basketball and golf at Coe all four years, finishing in the top two of the conference golf tournament in each of his four years, including winning the title in his junior campaign. Pint was one of three finalists for the Barron Bremner Athlete of the Year Award at Coe in 1995 along with Carey Bender and David Simmons.  He was coached by Bill Fletcher, who worked as a rules committee member for many IGA and national events. 

Pint currently lives in Fairfax, IA with his wife, Anna, and their daughters, Nadia and Katia.
