Wilson Named ICCAC Athlete of the Week

CEDAR RAPIDS -- Kirkwood women's basketball player Tayana Wilson was announced by the ICCAC as their honoree for the Athlete of the Week for the week of December 28 - January 7, as released by the league office yesterday.

Per ICCAC:

Tayana Wilson paced the Eagles who had a successful holiday season. Kirkwood won all four games they played, including two wins over top-10 NJCAA Division II opponents. Wins over No. 10 Owens and No. 5 Illinois Central were due in large part to Wilson's effectiveness on the court. She score 20 points against Owens and 14 points against Illinois Central. She is currently the only Eagle averaging double-digits in points this season at exactly 10 per game.

The Eagles will travel to Fort Dodge to take on Iowa Central to begin conference play this Saturday.
