EAST PEORIA, Ill. - Alexa Aldrich-Ingram collected 22 kills Friday as the eighth-ranked Kirkwood Eagles rallied to edge 19th-ranked Illinois  Central, 25-23, 18-25, 23-25, 25-21, 15-10 in a triangular meet in  Illinois.

Aldrich-Ingram also had 16 kills as Kirkwood defeated Jefferson College,  25-23, 25-22, 17-25, 25-17 in their first match at the event.

Sami Johnson had 11 kills, Maddie Huff 10 and Abbi Tunis nine in the five-set victory over Illinois Central. Lauren Keane rolled up 46 assists in the victory. Haleigh Durnin had 11 kills, Maddie Lavenz 10, Johnson 10 and Ingram eight. Tunis tallied four blocks.

Durnin provided 11 kills in the four-set triumph over Jefferson and  Johnson had nine. Keane had 35 assists. Ingram made 11 digs while Keane, Durnin, and Lavenz had eight apiece. Tunis helped with seven blocks for the Eagles.

Kirkwood raised its record to 21-4 with the two victories.  The Eagles are back in action Wednesday with a home ICCAC match vs. Iowa Lakes, 6:30pm - Johnson Hall.
