No. 4 Eagles flattened by Southeastern

The Kirkwood women's volleyball team ran into a formidable opponent  Wednesday night in the ICCAC conference opener at Johnson Hall.


The fourth-ranked Eagles were swept by Southeastern Community College, 25-21, 25-20, 25-22, on their home floor.

Kirkwood fell to 6-4 overall for the campaign. Southeastern squared its record at 5-5.

Aubrin Dittmer and Anna Gorsich had eight kills for Kirkwood. Olivia Richards, Taylor Carey, and Maggie Peters had four apiece.

Madi Wagaman collected 28 assists. Maranda Wheelock had 14 digs and Richards had nine. Wagaman helped with three blocks.

 

The Eagles are back in action this Friday as they host their annual Invitational Tournament.  At 6pm they'll play No. 2 Parkland College and Sauk Valley at 8pm in Johnson Hall.
