NO.9 EAGLES FALL TO RANKED FOES

On Friday, the ninth-ranked Kirkwood women's volleyball team lost to a pair of highly-ranked opponents at Johnson Hall.

Parkland, ranked No. 3 in NJCAA Division II, defeated the Eagles 3-2. Indian Hills, ranked No. 3 in Division I, blanked Kirkwood 3-0.

Parkland has a 38-2 record this season. Indian Hills is 30-2. Kirkwood fell to 24-6. Allison Bonnette collected 11 kills and Ava Morris had 10 against Parkland. Gracie Ehret had 27 assists. Sierra Marshall made 17 digs. Bri Justsen blocked six shots. Morris and Alyssa Tegeler had five blocks.

Morris contributed nine kills and Avery Dusterhoft had eight kills against Indian Hills. Ehret finished with 14 assists. Ehret and Marshall made 10 digs. Justsen blocked three shots.

Parkland defeated Kirkwood, 25-19, 20-25, 25-16, 21-25, 15-11 in a seesaw match. Indian Hills swept the Eagles, 25-15, 25-14, 25-23.
