
Kirkwood Finishes Fourth at Nationals; Hall and Brunk Earn All-American Honors
Plymouth, IN- The Kirkwood Community College men's golf team capped off an impressive season with a fourth-place finish at the 2025 NJCAA Division II Men's Golf Championship, held May 20–23 at Swan Lake Golf Resort in Plymouth, Indiana. The Eagles, ranked No. 5 entering the tournament, delivered four rounds of competitive golf, finishing at +39, just one stroke back of third-place South Mountain.
Kirkwood's five-man squad of Tate Brunk, Reid Hall, Nathan Offerman, Leo Burger, and Quinn Tinkler turned in steady performances throughout the week, while Tanner Wachtl served as the team's alternate.
Leading the way was Reid Hall, who finished second individually in the national field. His outstanding performance earned him a spot on the NJCAA Division II First Team All-American list. Hall was one of the most consistent golfers in the entire tournament, going under par in two of four rounds.
Tate Brunk also received national recognition, being named to the NJCAA Division II Second Team All-American following his strong showing, which included a 3-under 69 in the opening round.
Round-by-Round Breakdown
Round 1:
Brunk led the Eagles with a 3-under 69, highlighted by a back-nine 33. Hall posted a 76 (+4), while Offerman and Burger carded 78 (+6) and 77 (+5), respectively. Tinkler's 75 (+3) gave Kirkwood a solid start.
Round 2:
Hall paced the Eagles with a 73 (+1), followed by Tinkler's 74 (+2). Brunk added a 78 (+6), while Offerman and Burger each turned in 79s (+7).
Round 3:
Hall fired his first below-par round of the tournament, shooting a team-best 69; Offerman added a 74 (+2). Brunk and Tinkler each shot 77 (+5), while Burger matched his previous round with another 77.
Round 4:
Hall capped off his tournament with a dominant 5-under 67. Brunk finished with a 74 (+2), while Offerman and Burger both shot 76 (+4). Tinkler closed out with a 79 (+7).
