Powell Paces KCC Golfers at TPC

SILVIS, Ill. - Niall Powell of Kirkwood tied for 15th at the TPC Deere Run Invitational Saturday at 4-over-par 146.

The Eagles finished in 14th place in an elite field of 23 collegiate teams.

Powell shot consecutive rounds of 73 and 73 at the two-day tournament in adverse weather conditions.

Alec Dutkowski of Taylor University and Tom Westenberger of Iowa Western Community College tied for the top at 3-under 139. Taylor University won the championship.
