
No.2 KCC women roll by Southwestern
The Kirkwood women's basketball team scored the first 25 points of the game Saturday and dumped Southwestern, 86-45, in a lopsided ICCAC contest at Johnson Hall.
The second-ranked Eagles raised their records to 5-0 overall and 5-0 in the conference.
Kortney Drake popped in four 3-pointers and led a balanced attack for Kirkwood with 14 points. Karsyn Stratton collected 12 points, six assists and three rebounds.
Kemara Watson contributed 12 points. Ashley Tull finished with a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Dominique Rodriguez also scored 10 points.
Kaylynn Tucker scored 13 points for Southwestern (2-4, 2-3). The visitors shot 11 for 62 from the floor for 17.7 percent and finished 1 for 24 on 3-pointers.
Kirkwood led, 50-19, at halftime.
