Kirkwood MBB Coaches vs. Cancer

Saturday will be a special day as Kirkwood is taking part in the nationwide Coaches vs. Cancer "Suits & Sneakers Week". This is an annual week-long event is sponsored by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) and the American Cancer Society to bring awareness, celebrate survivors, and raise money for cancer research. To help raise awareness this year, coaching staffs across the country are wearing official gear and sneakers during designated games. In connection with the event, the men's basketball team is running their own fundraiser to help support the American Cancer Society and has a team goal of $2,500, but would love to beat that! Here is the official team page where individuals can donate. There will also be a place to make onsite donations along with a free-will donation bake sale. The women's game begins at 2:00 p.m. and the men follow at 4:00 p.m.
