Morgan fires 67 for Kirkwood golfers
MORAVIA - James Morgan (So, Longniddry, Scotland/Preston Lodge HS) fired a 5-under-67 Monday and climbed into a tie for third place after two rounds of The Warrior Challenge at The Preserve on Rathbun Lake Golf Course.
Morgan stands at 4-under 140 for 36 holes heading into the final round Tuesday, three shots behind the leader. His 67 is a new career-low.
Jacob Harrington-Wara (Fr., Cardiff, Wales/SGS College) is even at 144. Sterling McIlravy (So., Solon) shot 75-71 and is tied for 12th with Ben Epperly (So., WDM Valley HS) one shot behind at 146.
Indian Hills leads the team standings at 17-under 559. Kirkwood is third at 1-under 575.
