Morrison, Peters lead KCC golfers to title

GALESBURG, Ill. - The Kirkwood men's golf team dominated the competition at the Jim Weatherbee Memorial Invitational Saturday.
Ryan Morrison captured top honors at 4-under-par 140 for the 36 hole tournament with rounds of 68 and 72. Dawson Peters placed second at 2-under 142 with steady rounds of 71 both days.
Will Babcock of Kirkwood tied for fourth at 4-over 148 at the Soangetaha Country Club.
Kirkwood claimed the team championship at 4-over 580 for a 30-shot margin over Edgewood College in the 20-team event.
