Wilson Earns ICCAC Athlete of the Week Honors
CEDAR RAPIDS -- Kirkwood men's basketball freshman Doug Wilson has been named the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference's (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week, as released yesterday by the league office.
Per the ICCAC:
"Kirkwood is off to a 6-0 start in conference play. The Eagles knocked off both Ellsworth and DMACC to improve their overall record to 17-4. Des Moines native Doug Wilson put up 54 points in two games while adding 13 rebounds and 5 blocked shots. The freshman and Kirkwood's second leading scorer, scored 34 points in the win at Ellsworth. He followed that up with 20 points against DMACC. He shot 19 for 30 on the week, just over 60-perecent from the floor."
