Wilson Earns Second Athlete of the Week Award

AMES -- Sophomore Tayana Wilson recently named Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week honor, as announced yeseterday by the league office. This is the second time this season that Wilson has received the award.

Per ICCAC:

"Wilson had huge week last week on the way to the Eagles second consecutive Region XI title. Going up against three All-Region guards in Little Priest's Jazlyn Muniz Southeastern's Andreisha Waller, and NIACC's UU Longs, Wilson outperformed all of them. In three games she averaged 15 points, four rebounds and 3.3 assists. She played her best in the 65-52 win over NIACC, scoring 17 points, grabbing four rebounds and stealing the ball four times. Kirkwood is the No. 2 seed in Harrison, Ark. next week at the National Tournament."
