Kirkwood's freshman pitcher, Erin Hocker, earned four victories in the circle last week. With help from her defense, Hocker took down Iowa Western (9-1), Southeastern (4-1), Ellsworth (1-0) and Iowa Lakes (10-2). These four wins moved Hocker's pitching record to 18-6 on the season. The right-hander threw 28 innings, allowing three earned runs and striking out 27 batters. Hocker now has 164 strikeouts on the season with an ERA of 2.05.
