Eagles enter National Championships as No. 7 seed
Cedar Rapids, IA. – The Kirkwood Community College softball team (50-15) will enter the NJCAA Division ll Tournament as the No. 7 seed.
Kirkwood is coached by Eric Frese, who is in his 1st season with an overall record of 50-15.
Kirkwood will open the tournament against No. 10 seed Illinois Central College (23-14) of Peoria, IL, on Wednesday, May 22 at 3:30 p.m in Clinton, MS. The ICC Cougars are coached by 13th-year head coach Heather Doty. Their last NJCAA tournament appearance was in 2015.
