Taylor Carey named ICCAC Athlete of the Week | Defense

Kirkwood went 4-1 last week with two wins over ranked opponents including a 3-2 win over No. 1 ranked Parkland (Ill.). Defensively, the Eagles were led by Taylor Carey from her middle blocker position. Carey finished the week with 31 total blocks including a 10-block performance in the win over No. 18 Central (Neb.). Carey is 10th in the country in blocks with 51. Kirkwood moved up one spot in this week's poll to No. 8.
