Kirkwood rattled off another Region XI Tournament run capped off by a victory over the No. 1 seed. This year, after beating DMACC, 3-0, Anna Gorsich and the Eagles handled Iowa Central in four sets to win their second straight Region XIA Championship. Gorsich, the Tournament MVP, notched 27 kills in the two matches, with 17 of them coming in the title match. She added 19 digs for a double-double. The Eagles will head to Kansas City, Mo. this Saturday to face Metropolitan in the North Central B Championship.
