Kirkwood Secures Strong Finish at UIU Spring Invite

Waterloo, IA — Kirkwood Community College put together an impressive performance over two days at the UIU Spring Invite, finishing third overall in a competitive field at Sunnyside Country Club.

After sitting in a tie for second place following the first round on Saturday, Kirkwood slipped slightly in the standings but held on for a podium finish by the end of Sunday's final round. The Eagles showcased a deep roster, led by freshman Reid Hall, who posted rounds of 74 (+2) and 72 (E) to finish at +2 for the tournament, tying for second place overall among nearly 100 individual golfers.

Standout Performers

Kirkwood's top four scorers (Hall, Offerman, Tinkler, and Burger) carried the team into third place, trailing only William Jewell and Bemidji State. This marked a slight drop from their Day 1 position, where they were tied for second, but the team held strong against a field featuring NCAA Division II programs and top-tier junior college talent.

Up next for Kirkwood is the Blueboy Invite at the Rail Golf Course in Springfield, IL.
