Kirkwood went 2-0 when freshman righty Kori Wedeking was on the mound last week. She pitched 12 innings and struck out 11 batters in 9- 0 and 2-0 wins over Division I Southwestern. She allowed just six hits and two walks, allowing no runs. This season, she is 8-1 in 52 innings with a 1.21 ERA and 60 strikeouts. The Eagles face Southeastern in the midweek doubleheader on March 24.
