
#9 Eagles Shine at Branson Showtime Classic
Branson, MO- The #9-ranked Kirkwood Eagles softball team traveled to Branson, Missouri, for the Branson Showtime Classic, where they showcased their offensive firepower and pitching dominance across four games.

Kirkwood 8, Northeastern Oklahoma AM 2
The Eagles opened the tournament with a strong performance against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, securing an 8-2 victory. Sophia Kreutner led the way with a double and four RBIs, while Peyton Johnson contributed with a triple and an RBI. Peyton Paulsen dominated in the circle, striking out 10 batters en route to the win.
Kirkwood 6, Murray State 7
Kirkwood's second game of the day was a hard-fought battle against #2-ranked Murray State College. Despite a home run and two RBIs from Shannon Finn, as well as doubles from Brenna Ross and Peyton Johnson, the Eagles came up just short, falling 7-6 in a nail-biter.

Kirkwood 15, Carl Albert State 0
Kirkwood bounced back in dominant fashion on Saturday, dismantling Carl Albert State in a 15-0 shutout. Kiya Johnson and Brenna Ross each tallied three RBIs, while Sophia Kreutner drove in four. Johnson crushed two home runs, while Kreutner and Jessa DeMoss also went deep. Mischa Reiners added a double and a triple, while Natalie Vitek delivered a stellar performance on the mound, striking out seven batters for the win.
Kirkwood 21, Northern Oklahoma College-Enid 2
The Eagles closed out the tournament with their most dominant win of the weekend, routing Northern Oklahoma College-Enid 21-2. Four different Eagles hit home runs, with Shannon Finn and Sophia Kreutner leading the charge, each driving in five RBIs. Kreutner added two doubles to her impressive weekend. Jessa DeMoss secured the win in the circle, striking out four hitters.

Kirkwood will look to carry their momentum into next weekend when they travel to Kansas City for a six-game stretch across Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
