
Three Kirkwood Softball Players Named 2024 NJCAA DII NFCA All-Americans
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – "Thirty-seven student-athletes from 17 programs were named 2024 NFCA National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA) Division II All-Americans.
Fourth-place NJCAA DII World Series finishers Murray State College took home seven All-American honors, five of which were on the first team, to lead all programs in 2025.
National tournament participant Des Moines Area Community College came away with five All-American plaudits, one on the first team, while another national tournament participant Kirkwood Community College boasted three All-American, all on the first team.
National champion Copiah-Lincoln Community College and national runner-up Jones College highlighted a field of eight more programs with two plaudits apiece. Joining Copiah-Lincoln and Jones with two were Iowa Central Community College, Louisburg College, Northeast Mississippi Community College, Phoenix College, Potomac State College and third-place finisher St. Johns River State College.
Kirkwood's Peyton Johnson collected her second straight first-team honor in the outfield, while Jones third baseman Emily Mizelle earned first-team at-large status this year after nabbing a second-team selection in 2024.
NFCA All-Region and All-America athletes must be nominated by their NFCA-member head coach, are voted for by the coaches in their region or division, and ultimately selected by elected NJCAA Division II All-American committee members to receive this prestigious accolade."
