POLLARD SHATTERS KIRKWOOD GOLF RECORD

WATERLOO - JD Pollard broke the record for the lowest 18-hole score in school history Sunday when he fired an 8-under-par 63 at the Wartburg Fall Invitational.

More precisely, he shattered the old mark by three shots.

Pollard earned medalist honors with a 36-hole score of 141 and helped Kirkwood win the championship by 25 shots over the Hawkeye Community College.

Brandon McCarty of Kirkwood took runner-up honors at 142, just one shot behind Pollard. Kolby Shackelford placed fifth at 146 and Jax Stelzer finished sixth for the Eagles at 147.
