Mayhew Earns Second ICCAC Athlete of the Week

AMES -- For the second time this season, sophomore DoniRae Mayhew has been awarded the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference's (ICCAC) Athlete of the Week for her play during the week of April 2-8.

Per the ICCAC:

Last week, Kirkwood's DoniRae Mayhew put up stellar numbers to lead the Eagles. Mayhew batted 7 for 8 during four games against conference opponents NIACC and Iowa Lakes. Mayhew slapped a single, knocked three doubles and blasted three home runs. Mayhew batted in ten teammates to score in her eight plate appearances and scored nine runs herself. Mayhew is batting a solid .457 on the season, with 12 home runs and 33 RBIs in only 27 games played. The Eagles outscored their opponents by 45 runs in four games, 52-7.
