Kirkwood Baseball Sweeps the Lakers

On March 28 and 29, 2025, Kirkwood Community College showcased their offensive power in a series of high-scoring victories over Iowa Lakes Community College in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The home team displayed an impressive combination of potent batting and solid pitching, securing victories with scores of 15-2, 12-11, and 17-9.

March 28, 2025 – Game 1: 15-2 Victory

Kirkwood's first game against Iowa Lakes was a commanding performance, as the home team overwhelmed their opponents with a 15-2 win in just five innings. After Iowa Lakes briefly took a 2-0 lead in the first inning, Kirkwood responded with three runs of their own in the bottom of the first and never looked back. The team added one run in the second, five in the third, and six in the fourth to seal the victory.
