CRISP LEADS EAGLES TO WARTBURG TITLE
WAVERLY - Taylor Crisp led a 1-2-3 finish for the Kirkwood Eagles last week as they won the Wartburg Fall Invite by 19 shots at the Prairie Links Golf Course.
Crisp bagged his first collegiate title by firing rounds of 71 and 68 to finish at 5-under-par 139. Luke Evans placed second at 4-under 140 and Jake Phipps tied for third at 3-under 141 as the Eagles dominated the nine-team tournament.
Kirkwood finished at 565 with Hawkeye Community College second at 584.
Kolby Shackelford of Kirkwood tied for fifth at 1-over 145 and Kyle Arthofer finished 15th at 3-over 147.
