Eagles Win Klocke Classic

With an early start of 8:00 AM on Sunday, the Eagles looked to carry over their success from Saturday's first round.

In the first round, the Eagles found themselves atop the leaderboard at -3, a 10-stroke lead over 2nd place Mount Mercy. It was another beautiful day for the Eagles to play golf. Kirkwood was able to maintain their position and win the Classic with a team score of -1. Grant Greazel and Gannon Hall were the standouts for the Eagles on the day with Grant shooting 2 under for the day to bring his overall score to -2 and Gannon Hall shooting 1 under to bring his overall score to -4.

The Classic saw a lot of success from multiple Eagles. Gannon Hall finished Round 1 with 7 birdies, where he saw a 3-birdie streak on the front 9, and followed up that performance with a 5-birdie outing as well as another 3-birdie streak. After finishing the day at E for round 1, Grant Greazel matched Gannon Hall's 5-birdie performance on Sunday with a 3-birdie streak on the front 9. Quinn Tinkler, who recorded 3 birdies on Saturday and finished E for the day, was only able to record 1 birdie for round 2 but finished in 3rd place on the leaderboard. Nathan Offerman recorded 5 birdies on the weekend despite an up-and-down round 2 and was able to finish tied for 8th place. Frank Haege's Sunday score of +2 allowed the team to use his score for the day to further cement their position in 1st place behind 2 birdies and 13 pars for round 2. Saturday, on the individual side of competition, 3 Eagles recorded 3 birdies for the round and Nathan Bratanata recorded the team's sole eagle for the weekend on hole 5. For the individual competition in round 2, the Eagles managed to have some positive moments from the 4 competing. Nathan Bratanata recorded 3 birdies, Leo Burger and Payton Burns recorded 2 birdies, and Tate Brunk joined the party with 1 birdie that came on hole 12, a hole where only he and Quinn Tinkler could get below par.
