Morgan leads KCC at Eagle Spring Classic

James Morgan and the Kirkwood men's golf team are leading the pack at the Eagle Spring Classic.

Morgan fired an even-par 72 on a cold, blustery day at Hunters Ridge Sunday and owns a three-shot lead heading into the final 18 holes on Monday.

Kirkwood holds a three-shot lead over Mount Mercy in the team standings, 303 to 306. Five KCC golfers are in the top-10 of the individual standings after Round 1.

Kolby Shackelford of Kirkwood is tied for second place at 3-over 75. Brandon McCarty and Harry Oddy are tied for fifth at 4-over 76. Luke Evans is tied for eighth at 5-over 77.
