MORGAN TAKES 3RD AT NATIONAL TOURNAMENT

PLYMOUTH, Ind. - James Morgan of Kirkwood placed third at the NJCAA Division II golf tournament Friday at the Swan Lake Resort Black Course in Plymouth, Ind.

Morgan fired rounds of 68, 71, 74, and 75 to finish at even-par 288 for 72 holes. He finished six shots behind Cecil Belisle of South Mountain, who grabbed medalist honors at 6-under 282.

Parkland edged South Mountain for the title, 1168 to 1170. Kirkwood placed fifth at 1207, 39 shots behind the winner.

Kolby Shackelford of Kirkwood finished 26th at 301, JD Pollard was 45th at 309 and Harry Oddy finished 53rd at 311.
