Morgan sizzles for KCC golfers
DIKE - James Morgan turned Fox Ridge Golf Club into his personal playground Thursday.
Morgan finished at 6-under-par 138 to claim medalist honors and lead the Kirkwood Eagles to the championship.
Morgan was consistent all day, firing a 3-under 69 for his first round and duplicating the effort with another 3-under round on his second 18 holes Thursday.
He won the individual title by four shots.
Kolby Shackelford of Kirkwood placed third at even-par 144 with rounds of 70 and 74. JD Pollard tied for fourth at 1-over 145. Brandon McCarty finished eighth at 4-over 148.
Kirkwood topped DMACC for the title by 17 shots.
