Cedar Rapids, IA- The #5 Kirkwood Eagles took on Hawkeye in the final match of the conference season on Wednesday. It was also Sophomore Night where the team took time before the match to honor their 9 sophomores: Allison Bonnette, Emma Cross, Avery Dusterhoft, Grace Embretson, Sophie Gaffney, Addy Grimm, Lexi Hearn, Ava Morris, and Alyssa Tegeler. The Eagles prevailed in four sets (21-25, 25-16, 25-22, 25-19) and with the win, secured a tie of the conference championship for the first time since the 17'-18' season.

Freshman libero Lily VanSevern continued to put on a show in the back row, making some spectacular defensive plays and contributing 11 digs.

The Eagles now begin their post-season run in the ICCAC Division II Volleyball Tournament. They host #7 seed Southeastern on Wednesday 11/1 at 7 pm.
