#1 Kirkwood Defeats Tritons in Fort Dodge

Fort Dodge, IA- The #1 ranked Kirkwood Eagles rolled into Fort Dodge on Wednesday evening with an undefeated record and that's exactly how they would leave Fort Dodge.

The Eagles started the game off quickly, with sophomore Jenna Twedt dropping 19 points in the first quarter alone; she went 4-8 from beyond the arc and would finish the game with 25 points. Freshman guard Olivia Wren would put up 22 points of her own in the game and also dish out 9 assists.

It seems like the Eagles never go a week without breaking some new record and this one was no different. Kirkwood would set a school record with 21 made 3's in a game. 9 different Eagles hit a three pointer in the game.

Kirkwood would use a 16 point lead after the first quarter to keep the pressure on the Tritons. They would win the next three quarters by a combined 52 points to take the game by a score of 112-44.

The #1 Eagles take on NIACC this Saturday in another pivotal ICCAC matchup at home in Johnson Hall at 1pm.
