Cedar Rapids, IA- The 6th ranked Kirkwood Eagles welcomed the Southeastern Blackhawks into Johnson Hall on Tuesday night for a significant ICCAC matchup. Kirkwood (3-0 ICCAC) was looking to bounce back against the Blackhawks (2-1 ICCAC) after a tough weekend in Kansas City.

The Eagles and Blackhawks started off the first set by exchanging points back and forth. Kirkwood managed to gain some distance midway through the set and close the first set out 25-17. The Blackhawks would rebound, however, and took an early 5 point lead in the 3rd set, at 6-1. The Eagles would claw their way back through aggressive serving and transition play, finally taking a lead at 22-21. Josie Bryan would step behind the service line for the Eagles and close the final three points of the match, giving Kirkwood the 25-23 set win and 3-0 match win.
