Eagles Receive #3 Seed in National Tournament
Cedar Rapids, IA- The Kirkwood Women's Volleyball team qualified for the 2024 NJCAA Division II Volleyball Championship for the 7th straight year. They qualified out of Region 11 as the automatic bid after defeating Northeast in the tournament finals . Their 34-6 season, 11-0 ICCAC record, and 14 wins against top #25 teams allowed them to finish the season with a #3 national ranking.
Kirkwood was placed as the #3 overall seed in the national tournament. They will be playing the winner of #14 Walters State vs #19 Carl Sandburg.
The tournament is being held at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse Arena in Cedar Rapids. The Eagles are scheduled to play next Wednesday 11/20 at 7:30 pm.
