#3 Kirkwood Finishes ICCAC Play 11-0

Creston, IA- The #3 Kirkwood Eagles traveled to Creston on Wednesday night to play Southwestern in the final matchup for ICCAC play. Kirkwood had already locked up the 1 seed in the ICCAC Region 11 Tournament, but the Eagles were looking to go undefeated in conference play. 

Kirkwood played the cleanest set it has played all year in the first. The Eagles had 0 errors in the first set, the first time they've done that all year. They would hit .650 on 20 total swings and win the set 25-3. Set 2 wasn't much different with Kirkwood having 0 hitting errors again and hitting .560 on 25 attempts; they would win the second 25-7. They would take the match 3-0, winning the third set 25-17. Kaci. Johnson would record a double double with 22 assists and 10 digs, while also having 8 kills. Sophomore right side Emma Meester had 13 kills on 20 attempts with only 1 error, hitting .600 for the match. Kirkwood would hit .393 as a team. 

Next up, the Eagles will play #8 seed Iowa Lakes in the regional tournament hosted at Kirkwood. The match is set for next Wednesday 11/6 at 6PM. If they win, they will host the semifinals and finals at Johnson Hall as well.
