No.8 Eagles spike No.12 DMACC
BOONE - The Kirkwood women's volleyball team swept 12th-ranked DMACC, 25-17, 25-22, 25-17, in an ICCAC match in Boone Wednesday night.
Emily Strauss led a balanced attack with 14 kills. Katie Kopriva had 13 kills, Kamara Dickerson supplied 12 and Rachael Nelson had seven.
Nelson rolled up 35 assists in three sets. Takoa Kopriva had 19 digs, Katie Kopriva 15 and Nelson 11.
Defensively Jada Golden-Smith blocked six and Strauss five.
Kirkwood raised its record to 13-5.
