NO.10 KCC VOLLEYBALL HEADING TO NATIONALS

UNION, Mo. - The Kirkwood Eagles are coming home to play in the national volleyball tournament again.
 
The 10th-ranked Eagles spanked East Central on Saturday, 25-19, 25-16, 18-25, 25-17, to claim the North Central "B" District title in Union, Mo.
 
Kirkwood (26-12) will be playing in the NJCAA Division II national tournament for the second straight season at the Alliant Energy Powerhouse in downtown Cedar Rapids from Nov. 18-20.
 
Coach Jill Williams is taking the Eagles to the national championships for the eighth time in 16 years.
 
Kamara Dickerson led Kirkwood in the district finals with 18 kills and 15 digs against Union. Emily Strauss finished with 16 kills. Katie Kopriva had 10 kills and 12 digs.
 
Rachael Nelson dished out 49 assists and made 10 digs. Takoa Kopriva contributed 21 digs and Emma Link made 19.
