NO.9 EAGLES WIN TWICE AT DMACC INVITE
BOONE - The ninth-ranked Kirkwood women's volleyball team swept both of its matches at the DMACC Tournament Saturday in Boone.
The Eagles topped Coffeyville, 25-14, 25-17, 25-16, and tripped North Dakota State College of Science, 25-23, 25-20, 25-21.
Kamara Dickerson collected nine kills against Coffeyville. Katie Kopriva and Emily Strauss had eight kills apiece. Rachael Nelson distributed 28 assists. Takoa Kopriva made 14 digs and Katie Kopriva had 12. Jada Golden-Smith blocked five shots.
Dickerson swatted 14 shots against North Dakota State, Strauss had 12 kills, and Katie Kopriva 10. Nelson had 38 more assists. Dickerson made 12 digs and Takoa Kopriva had 11. Golden-Smith and Brianna Justsen each contributed five blocks.
Kirkwood raised its record to 19-7.
