NO.7 EAGLES RAISE RECORD TO 19-3

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. - The seventh-ranked Kirkwood women's volleyball team compiled a 3-1 record at the Parkland College Fall Challenge this past weekend.
 
The Eagles defeated Vincennes, 3-1, and Lincoln Land, 3-0, on Friday. Kirkwood blanked Owens, 3-0, in its first match on Saturday, then fell to eighth-ranked Heartland, 3-0, in the final contest.
 
The Eagles raised their overall record to 19-3.
 
Allison Bonnette, Ava Morris and Lexi Hearn had 10 kills apiece in the 25-17, 25-14, 17-25, 25-19 victory over Vincennes. Gracie Ehret was credited with 25 assists and made 16 digs. Sierra Marshall had 15 digs. Brianna Justsen blocked nine shots and Alyssa Tegeler blocked seven.
 
Hearn led the way with nine kills in the 25-10, 25-19, 25-20 conquest of Lincoln Land. Ehret had 20 more assists. Marshall had eight digs. Tegeler blocked 11 shots.
 
Bonnette topped a balanced attack with eight kills in a 25-23, 25-16, 25-17 triumph over Owens. Ehret had 19 assists. Marshall made 17 digs. Tegeler blocked nine more shots.
 
Hearn had eight kills in the 25-23, 25-15, 25-19 loss to Heartland. Ehret picked up 23 assists. Marshall made 14 digs.
 
The Eagles are back in action Wednesday, as they travel to Iowa Falls for an ICCAC match-up vs. Ellsworth.
