NO.8 EAGLES SPLIT IN BOONE

BOONE - The ninth-ranked Kirkwood women's volleyball team split two matches at the DMACC tournament in Boone Friday.

The Eagles defeated Iowa Central, 3-1, but then lost to Illinois Central, 3-1. The split left Kirkwood with a 23-4 record for the campaign.

Lexi Hearn led the attack against Iowa Central with 12 kills. Ava Morris collected 11 kills and Alyssa Tegeler had 10. Gracie Ehret distributed 29 assists, Allison Bonnette had five aces, Sierra Marshall made 14 digs and Tegeler blocked six shots.

Tegeler paced the Eagles with 11 kills against Illinois Central. Morris and Bonnette had nine apiece. Ehret had 28 more assists and served four aces. Marshall made 13 digs. Morris blocked six shots.
