Kirkwood's Ava Morris was big in the Eagle's two wins against top 11 opponents last week. They went 2-1, all against ranked teams including wins over #11 Hawkeye in a conference match and #6 Iowa Central in a non-conference match. Morris had 34 kills in 77 attempts along with 14 blocks. This year, Morris is leading the Eagles in kills with 230 at 2.45 per set. In the wins, she had 14 against Hawkeye, and 11 against Iowa Central – giving her 10 double-digit kill performances this year. Kirkwood continues their ranked matches stretch (six in a row) with #16 DMACC, #3 Parkland, and #3 (DI) Indian Hills this week.
