NO.9 EAGLES TRIP NO.11 HAWKEYE

The ninth-ranked Kirkwood women's volleyball team defeated No. 11 Hawkeye Community College, 3-1, in an ICCAC conference match at Kirkwood Wednesday night.

The Eagles raised their records to 22-3 overall and 5-0 in the conference. Hawkeye fell to 13-6 overall and 2-3 in the league.

Ava Morris led a balanced attack with 14 kills for the Eagles, who prevailed 25-15, 20-25, 25-23, 25-22 in a very competitive match. Lexi Hearn collected 12 kills and Allison Bonnette added 11.

Gracie Ehret accumulated 36 kills in four sets. Sierra Marshall made 13 digs, Emma Link 12 and Bailey Hoff 11. Alyssa Tegeler blocked six shots and Morris stopped five.
