Kirkwood Men's Basketball win streak snapped at Southwestern

The Kirkwood men's basketball team saw their winning streak get snapped at the hands of the Southwestern CC Spartans. Going into their matchup Saturday in Creston, IA the Eagles had won 6 straight games. It was Sophomore Night for the Spartans who had a 35-28 lead at the half. Kirkwood pulled within 4 early in the second half but were turned away by a hot offensive performance from the Spartans who never surrendered the lead in the second half.

Kirkwood will look to bounce back on Wednesday night when they play hosts to Marshalltown CC at 7:00 pm in Cedar Rapids, IA at Johnson Hall. This will be the second meeting of the two teams, the first resulted in a 60-59 win for the Eagles.
