Seales leads No.18 Eagles by Marshalltown

Corvon Seales has taken control of the Kirkwood men's basketball team.

The talented point guard from North Scott High School did it again Wednesday night.

Seales collected 24 points, six rebounds and four assists as the 18th-ranked Eagles topped Marshalltown, 83-77, in an ICCAC game at Johnson Hall.

Kirkwood raced to a 20-point lead in the first half and led from start to finish.

The Eagles have won seven of their last eight games, raising their record to 12-7. Marshalltown fell to 8-8.

Noah King, Caleb Delzell, Blake Brinkmeyer, and Blessin Kimble scored 10 points apiece for Kirkwood. Brinkmeyer grabbed eight rebounds and King had seven, helping the Eagles mount a 41-28 advantage in the rebounding department.

Di'Able Stewart hit six 3-pointers and scored 25 points for Marshalltown.
